A face mask should take be applied after you have cleansed and exfoliated the skin. There are many kinds of facial masks all of which can serve a different purpose.  A good face mask can be used to treat a skin condition or to simply maintain the wellness of your skin.  If you are experiencing dehydrated or dry skin, a face mask can leave your skin rejuvenated and hydrated. Additionally, if your skin is irritated, red or inflamed, a mask will calm and soothe the skin. Whereas, if your skin is oily and congested, the facial mask will draw out any impurities from the skin.

Application of Face Mask

Facial masks are typically applied and set to the skin for 10-20 minutes and can contain an array of ingredients such as clay, black moor mud, aloe vera, seaweed, algae, herbs and vitamins. Once the mask has done its work, you should cleanse the skin with warm water and apply your favorite of toner, vitamin c serum, and facial cream.
